1.2014 Kurt Darting Gewurztraminer Kabinett Durkheimer Nonnengarten – Gewurztraminer grape
The tank sample indicated some botrytis, but the palate was more scrupulously varietal; smoky and firm and almost meaty; salt and lychee finish. Potentially quite impressive. Importer, Terry Theise
2. 2017 Ridge Chardonnay Monte Bello Vineyard Santa Cruz Mountains - Chardonnay grape
This wine has a Burgundian reductive quality as well as first-rate notes of caramelized orchard fruits, crushed rock, & subtle toasty, nutty notes. Rich, medium to full-bodied, with bright acidity, it has beautiful mid-palate depth, & well as the class & structure to keep for 15+ years. This is beautifully done. Rated 94 JebDunnuck.com
3. 2018 Domaine Vetricce Ile de Beaute Rosé Corsica, France - blend of 40% Niellucciu (i.e., Sangiovese), 30% Sciaccerellu, 15% Grenache & 15% Merlot grapes
Pale pink in color with salmon hints. The wine is harmonious, fruity & crisp on the nose. It is well balanced & bold on entry to the palate with good length & a rich finish. 4. 2015 Schlossgut Diel Dorsheimer Goldloch Kabinett Riesling Nahe Germany – Riesling grape
A cool, delicate rendering of the Great Lady that is Goldloch; a lovely being of a certain fleshy amplitude but also fresh, vertical, and snappy—there’s almost 10g of acidity with 45g of RS; a classic paradigm of high-acid German Riesling. Importer, Terry Theise

5. 2016 Sea Sun Chardonnay California (made by Caymus) - Chardonnay grape
Pale straw color with sunshiny highlights, Sea Sun has a subtle nose, with scents of lightly grilled mango, soft butterscotch, juicy red apple, & newly ripened pineapple & apricot. Hints of a springtime meadow, fresh sea air & a trace of smokiness add intriguing layers. Entry on the palate is round & creamy, with flavors of lemon curd & brown spice on the mid-palate. 6. 2017 Pachon Reserva Sauvignon Blanc Central Valley Chile - Sauvignon Blanc grape
Straw yellow color, this white is intense in the nose & the palate with many notes of citric fruits but also of passion fruit, peach & herbaceous. In the mouth, good acidity, which contributes to a desire to take the next sip. It has medium body & tasty finish. Great option to accompany light dishes or simply sip.
7. 2015 Mer Soleil Chardonnay Reserve Santa Lucia Highlands - Chardonnay grape
Complex & ultra-rich, this wine exhibits tremendous density on the palate. The wine's exotic flavors of core & stone fruit, as well as a creamy accent, make it satisfying from start to finish. Rated 92 Wilfred Wong (Wine.com)
