6. 2014 Chateau La Brande Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux
Anne-Marie & Jean-Guy Todeschini started a revolution here & at Château Mangot & sons Karl & Yann (mid-Millennials) are moving it on. They use Jean-Pierre Cousinié's terroir analysis (look it up), no pesticides, experiment with no sulfur & are changing the way their terroir talks to the wine. This vintage is a rich wine with attractive black currant fruit & fine acidity. With structured tannins & light spice, it is fruity, juicy & will be ready to drink from 2018. Editors Choice WE

7. 2015 Chateau Hauchat "La Rose" Fronsac
The nose is aromatic, elegant & offers a fine intensity...reveals notes of coffee, dark chocolate & blackberry associated with fine notes of Gariguette strawberry, crushed raspberry & fine hints of sweet spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, straight, elegant & offers a nice fat, unctuosity, a beautiful freshness, a fine acid, fat, tension & a nice definition structure. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy Gariguette strawberry, blueberry & raspberry associated with a very discreet hint of redcurrant, racy minerality, caramelization, mocha & toasted oak. Tannins are fine, elegant & very slightly firm. Rain City Wines
